PROGRAM OVERVIEW

C.O.O.R. is a after-school enrichment program serving school-age youth. The program structure is group-based and focuses on character building, social-emotional learning & development, and High Dosage Tutoring. C.O.O.R. Enrichment & Mentoring Program is a community 501c(3) nonprofit organization and a movement dedicated to enlightening youth through leadership, education, and positive identity development. A growth mindset is embedded in everything we do.

OUR MISSION

We aim to empower school-age youth to adopt a positive self-image. The primary goal for our participants is for them to evolve into men and women of noble character while eradicating high-risk behaviors.

Daily Schedule & Hours of Operation

Our daily activity schedule is always packed with fun and engaging activities that encourage learning and growth.

 

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING

Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm (school days)

3:30 - 4:00 Sign in / calm the mind & body moment /nutritious snack

4:00 - 6:00 Participants transition through four 30-minute engagement corners

(High Dosage Tutoring, STEM, Planned Workshop, Physical Activities.)

6:00 - 6:15 "Highlight of Your Day" Open group discussion 

6:15 - 6:30 Clean up, dismissal

  • Is C.O.O.R. a licensed program
    Yes, we are a licensed child care center through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
  • What is a typical day like at the center
    A fun day in afterschool and summer camp is packed with exciting and enriching activities for the children. From the moment the children arrive, they are greeted with smiles and positive energy. The day kicks off with a variety of engaging activities such as team sports, arts and crafts, and science experiments. Students also have the opportunity to participate in outdoor adventures like nature walks or scavenger hunts. Throughout the day, there are interactive learning sessions where the students can explore different subjects in a hands-on and enjoyable way. The day wraps up with group games and activities that encourage teamwork and collaboration, leaving the students with lasting memories.
  • How can I register my child to participate in the program
    Use the registration tab to request enrollment information, After submitting the form, keep an eye on your email for any follow-up communication regarding your enrollment request.
  • Are parents welcome to participate at the center
    We welcome all parents to participate at the center! Your involvement is crucial to creating a warm and nurturing environment . Whether you have a few minutes to spare or are interested in a more active role, we encourage you to engage with us and become a part of our community. Your support and participation are invaluable, and we look forward to working together to provide the best possible experience for all the children in our care.
  • Will my child receive a meal while attending the center
    All children will receive breakfast, lunch during summer camp and a healthy snack during after school programming. We understand the importance of providing nutritious meals for your children, and we are committed to ensuring they have access to healthy and balanced food. If your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies, please communicate them with the center in writing so that we can accommodate their needs and provide a suitable alternative.
